Sat, December 17, 2005 - 9:46 AMSorry I am just getting to this; just returned from a vacation. I enjoyed the film. Differently than the first film; it's a different sort of film. Unnecessarily violent at times, but that can be fun if you're in the mood for it. I like how it weaves (even sophomoric) philosophy throughout. The visuals are outstanding. -

I've preordered the DVD and cannot wait to see it. It sounds just as good as the first, if not better from some reviews I've managed to find online. -

If I'm not mistaken it incorporated alot of CGI which I found really cool.. (I havent seen it in a while but I'm pretty sure some of it was CGI rendered)
I seem to recall like the traditional anime animation style was integrated with cgi in such a way that it made it really innovating and just eye candy in some parts.
Its quite a bit different from the original but equally as brilliant in my opinion.
I'd recommend you get it.
